Elk's Meadow
Details:
*New photos from August 2023*
Formerly called High Country Chalet, this idyllic cabin is nestled in the picturesque and highly desirable Crockett's Meadow in the high country of North Carolina—only five miles from the Cataloochee Ski Area and minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park—and features stunning mountain views. Crockett's Meadow is a serene neighborhood, and the surrounding cabins, each with their own unique charm, accent the view.
The cabin has three bedrooms: two with plush king-sized beds, and one with a queen and a twin day bed, all wrapped in high-quality linens, and plenty of space to stow away your luggage. The main bedroom also features an exposed wood ceiling, an electric fireplace for added ambiance, and direct access to a full bathroom. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and share a sizable second bathroom with a tub-shower combo (towels are provided). The kitchen has a regular coffee maker and a Keurig.
Each bedroom has its own TV. (In total, there are four TVs in the home—two with Roku, YouTube TV included). Stay connected with reliable high-speed WIFI throughout the entire house. We provide a "starter kit" of toilet paper and paper towels. There is plenty of parking in front of the home and easy paved access to the entrance. Board games, a PlayStation 4, and a pack-n-play are also available. You'll also have access to a washer and dryer, which is incredibly convenient for extended stays.
Please note: Call and ask about having Motorcycles or Pets here.

Fun Weekend Away
We had a great little stay at this house. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy, they had a pack and play, which was awesome and meant we didn't have to pack our own. Kitchen is well stocked, house was very clean, hot tub was fun, great location close to the main road and to Tubing World, which was our main destination for our trip.

Lovely cabin in quiet neighborhood
My sons and I stayed at the cabin and had a lovely time. We were able to use the hot tub and took a trip over to Cataloochee Valley to see the elk and take a nice hike. It was very short trip relaxing. This cabin had enough room for all of us to spread out.

Maggie Valley Cabin
We chose this area and house because it was close to Tube World and restaurants. It was set up perfectly for our family - me, my husband and daughter had the main bedroom downstairs and then My brother, his wife and son had the upstairs rooms. The kids loved the hot tub! We snow tubed one day and then went sight seeing the next - a short drive to Waterrock Knob lookout, at the top of that mountain it started snowing and kids loved it. I suggest eating at Frankie’s for a nice dinner but we cooked most of the time. We enjoyed the near by shops and kids also liked the rock shop and activities. The house was very clean and we loved the Christmas decorations because we stayed right after Christmas. We really enjoyed seeing the Elk family in that neighborhood in our last day! Highly recommend!
